Ok so I was coming to Las Vegas to look for an apartment, I decided to sell my house. I am never home, and the housing market is finally on an upswing. Now was the perfect time to upload the house my girlfriends and I purchased as an investment opportunity back in 2008.
Since I travel so much, I wanted find a place I could just post up in between trips, Los Angeles is just way too expensive, and with most of my friends relocating to other cities I really wanted a change as well.
I love Vegas, its my favorite place to go and unwind and the cost of living there can’t be beat. I decided to host a list minute BJM while I was in town. Once I move here, I wont ever host a BJM event in the city. That’s my one rule, never host events in the city I reside in. Which is why there was never any Los Angels Marathons once I started my tour.
I decided to stay at the NY NY Hotel, I’ve never stayed there before and only played in the casino once back in 2010. I didn’t have the time to do a full on Marathon, since I was only in town for 3 days and had to look for a place to live. I was not impressed with this hotel. It was just OK. I didn’t have time to catch the show Zumanity or even visit the spa. It also didn’t have a buffet, and those who know me know, I love my Vegas buffets.
One of the tricks I use when I come to Vegas is the app MyVegasSlots. I play this app all the time, and your winnings can be applied to win free stuff in real life. My room was free, as well as 1 meal, and I got $50 in free slot play. It’s weird, I love to gamble in the app, but I never really gamble when I am in Vegas.
I think I have like 700,00 points available at the moment. I play this app during all my down time, and when I travel. And I have never actually used real money to purchase chips, so its all 100% free and based on my winnings in the game.
The few invites I did have available for Vegas where snapped up immediately by tourist visiting, and one of my Fans that was originally supposed to attend the now canceled Louisville BJM. So this worked out perfectly for the both of us. I didn’t have to refund his Pre-Order, and he got to experience one of my events, I love it when its win, win.
Although this marathon was kinda short and sweet, with no real planning, I had a great time. And learned that my team and I can pull off once of these events last minute, with little time and prep work. So I think I may do more of these last minute pop ups!
